It would suck to meltdown on a trip. I went from Fattys to PT mids and it had 270's in it, I was told to start at 320-340 so today I put the 320's and took it out just to see if it would even be runnable because I thought that was way too big but it didnt even bog when it came on the main.I didnt have time to do a chop today either so I cant give any good answer either way. Did you not like the PT high's,or just not the rust? Quote

Did you not like the PT high's,or just not the rust? Well, it was a few things. I like more midrange power since I'm not going to riding it real hard. I'll be mostly cruising the dunes with buggies. I won't be racing at all, that's for sure. I just like the shape of the FMF's better than the PT's. I'd have them re-chromed if I really likely the look of them. Like I said in my original post, I've ridden dirt bikes for ever, and this is my first quad I've ever owned. I've ridden plenty but never owned one. Health issues (and the wife) told me to sell the bike and get a quad. My buddy's got an 03 and he's having a set of bill's pipes chromed, and I'm going to take his FMF's. Quote
GrMeyer Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Well for Glamis with out any mods besides intake and the Fattys i was running 290 in the day and 300 at night. So I would deff bump up the mains tell you can ride it around camp out there and see how it runs. I went on ebay and found a guy that was selling main jets. I got from 280-290-300-310-320-330 and it was like 15 with shipping. Quote
