repacking a silencer

it is my first time repacking my silencers, just wondering if anyone had any tips, i heard that some people syran wrap the packing

Just dont pack it too tight. What kind are you using? The stringy kind is the best but is a little harder to work with.

i just use fibreglass insulation. they have project pack for cheap. just 2 wraps of masking tape to hold it on the core, and it will release later

Crustydeamon is right on the money here - Not too tight, but not too loose. I remember the first time I did it. I used too much and packed it too tight.

The tighter its packed in there the louder the pipes will be too. I have used both masking tape or a small string to hold it together to make it easier to work with getting it into the tube.
