banshee#44 Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 it is my first time repacking my silencers, just wondering if anyone had any tips, i heard that some people syran wrap the packing Quote
crustydemon Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Just dont pack it too tight. What kind are you using? The stringy kind is the best but is a little harder to work with. Quote
AKheathen Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 i just use fibreglass insulation. they have project pack for cheap. just 2 wraps of masking tape to hold it on the core, and it will release later Quote
RedStrapperRacing Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Crustydeamon is right on the money here - Not too tight, but not too loose. I remember the first time I did it. I used too much and packed it too tight. The tighter its packed in there the louder the pipes will be too. I have used both masking tape or a small string to hold it together to make it easier to work with getting it into the tube. Quote
