My mods are in sig, I have CGL needles on the middle position right now, 48 pilots, and 165 mains.

I know Im really fat on the mains but Im not worried about that yet, Im 1 1/2 turns out on the air screws just for starters, carbs are in sync. Most people say run a CEL on the middle position but It seems like Im rich already, I dont know but it smokes quite a bit (32:1 Techniplate).Starts first kick every time with no choke @ 45-50 degrees and idles great. Runs like shit. Real doggy from 1/4-3/4 then trys to kick in a bit then eats its own ass after that(mains).I think a CGL on the 5th position is the same as a CEL on the middle but Im not sure and that would just richen it up anyway. What should I try or look for to get the pilot circuit set and how do you know when to move to a different pilot jet?Where should I safely start on the mains? I have them all from 145-165. About 1400 ft and 50 degrees.

Pods on it right now but might go back to open airbox.

get your mains set first. sounds like you are a couple sizes rich...... once it's goin good @ wot operating temp, do your plug chops. next, mess with the needles to get your 1/4 ti 3/4 set right. then, you do your pilots. @ 50 degrees, you need the choke, or you are too rich. again, you are making all the adjustments @ operating temp

Right on, if the rain stops I'll go out and get muddy.
