theoriginal87 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 ok so i just got my new carbs for my shee and put them on today and sure enough another f-ing problem...... ok so now the bike will hardly idle and runs like crap.. sputters, pops, has no power and wont even go into power band.. so i killed it so i wouldnt mess anything up... although i did get rid of that stupid boost bottle so now i just have procurciut pipes k&N filters and a port and polish and im running needle in the middle clip and 320's for the mains..... the original problem is that it would flood itself out everytime u killed it.... i solved that and it pretty much starts on the first kick cold but now it wont run worth a damn with the new carbs... > the carbs are stock 26mm mukani (or however u spell it) carbs Quote
alf44 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 did you put the crossover tube on where the boost bottle was. Its a 3 inch piece of hose that goes on the brass nipples on each carb Quote
SandRageShee Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 ok..checklist....choke tube in place? are the bowls on the right carbs? are the slides in the right carbs? yes all this does matter! what is your float height set at? Quote
theoriginal87 Posted October 16, 2009 Author Report Posted October 16, 2009 ok i replaced the boost bottle with the stock crossover tube. the choke tube is there, the slides are in right (the half moon side is out and the ping marks are there so u can see them in the little window when i adjusted the carbs) almost positive the bowls are on right made sure the bowl that has the hole in it went withthe carb with the little jet hole.... starts on first kick just cant get to idle very well... itll idle fine but if i rev it and when it dies back down i have to give it alitttle gas and it then it evens out and idles till i rev it again.... runs like shit has no power and is all poppy and stumbles.... and air screws are 1 1/2 turns out so im stumped......agghh!!! i just want to ride my sheee!! :*( Quote
