MEGA Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 New to Banshee ownership and repair. Never worked much on 2 stroke but love the Banshee. Finally GOT one! Ok. Was told it's an '01 engine on an '02 chassis. Don't know if that matters....... What does matter is that it runs super rich and runs like crap on the lower rpm's. Runs like the choke is on. It has LRD pipes that leak like hell at the seams and I got a set of FMF gold series and some stock pipes with the bike. Should I change them and if so, which ones should I use? Carbs, again, don't know.....was told that there should be wires running to them but they are not. As far as jetting? I have no idea. Don't know how to check either. Reed valves??? the same, don't know what i am looking at. When you finally hit a certain rpm, it comes to life but you really have to be winding it to get there. I am a novice but want to learn. Where should I begin? Quote
