01strokedshee Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 i live in michigan and im at 600ft above sea level and i got 4mil stroker kit 5mill long rods 30over mx port and polish 36mm kehins carbs boss racing intake with no boost bottle its got the cross over chamber v force 3 reeds 3/8 reed spacers toomey t5 pipes and silencers k&n pods pro design cool head with 21cc domes and 4degree advance key i run 110 race fuel i think thats it for motor anything else just ask thanks for your time dave Quote

ts3232 Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Hi Dave, I have a similar setup. Banshee 4 Mil cheetha 34M PJ's & 20 CC domes. I run it on VP MS109. In have been wrestling with this same issue for quite some time. Currently I run a 50 Pilot. 165 Main, and a DGK needle. In my experience anything less than a 165 main and the shee starts detonation which in turn pops the plugs. People tell me this is rich but again anything less than a 165 pops the plug at high RPM's. The only issue I have right now is that it is a bit to rich at 1/8 to 1/2. I think I need to go to a CGL needle which will lean it out a bit at the 1/8 to 3/4 range. Since I already have the needles I will pop them in to see what it does. Ill see how this works. Shot me an email at [email protected] if you need more info. Quote
01strokedshee Posted September 21, 2009 Author Report Posted September 21, 2009 well took my carbs apart and i had 150 mains and 58 pilots but i changed them to 162mains and 52 pilots i have dgk needles and i have them on the middle knotch Quote
