noob jetting

ok here it goes,i bought a 01 banshee tore apart.put it back together and would not run right.since this is my first shee,i took it to a guy to work on it.he told me that i needed a top end,i said ok do it.after the top end he still could not get it to run right.he said i needed new carbs without tors or do the tors removable kit.so i did the tors removable kit and decided to check the jets in the carbs while i had it tore apart,one side had 260 mains and the other 200 and the pilots were 25 and the needle on the 3rd clip.so i contacted fmf because thats what pipes are on it"fattys and pc2"with k&n pods and they told me 260 mains and 30 pilots on 3rd clip and air screws 1 1/2 turn out from seeted.i jetted like they said and still couldnt get it to run right.i messed with it a week and finaly figured out the problem.the damn hose that connects the two carbs together was missing,wtf!so dont know if i needed a top end or not.maybe just some brains would have fixed instead of 700 bucks.just typing to let other noobs know.

you might want to try taking it to a different mechanic. doesn't sound like that guy is all that knowledgable w/banshees.
