I used to run one up front, I didn't like it, all the wiring and the battery box were always packed with sand.

lol that sucks. where is the location of your current battery box?

Lighting and dc conversion pics.

Well I know how to do all that stuff, and I made my own battery box with coolant bracket. Then I designed a wiring diagram and added a charge harness onto the bike. So I guess it depends on your skill level as to what you feel comfortable doing. I also steer clear of stuff like the crappy Ricky Stator reg/rectifiers and use snowmobile components. I have been toying with the thought of making battery pack brackets for the banshee. Then you just take the packs off and recharge them.

You guys that saw the pics, where do you think you would like the battery pack brackets to be mounted? Say big enough to hold 1 to 3 battery packs?

I am going to DC both my Banshees, I know how to float the ground and wire it up using the RS rectifier. But with the reputation of RS on here, I would rather use something better. Exactly what are you using for a rectifier, what is it off of? How many wires does it have and how do you wire it up?

The batery sits under my seat, I built a bracket with built in coolant bottle relocator.

I get the rectifiers from a snowmobile outfit in Wisconsin. It has 4 wires coming out of it. You go ground, and ac power in. Then you get dc power, and ground back out.

Do you think an HID Kit would be a good idea for my ride? I'm just not sure what to replace them with.

Thats up to you. Either way you have to convert to dc. Its a good idea to run a battery with the led's, its a must with the HID's.
