Bought a banshee with a NON-working rear brake.

Bought a NEW caliper. Installed.

I am pumping the shit out of the foot brake lever and cant get it to build any pressure or push any fluid out of the line. Fluid level is good.

What am I over looking or could it me the master is shot?

You should really get your self a clymers bud. Step by step of everything to do with your banshee from top to bottom. There $30 all day long new on ebay.

Anyways here some pics i took from mine for another member that didn't know what to do. Thing is you have to do ALL the steps to a T man.

Same way as any automotive vehicle with hydro brakes.

Helps also if you have a buddy to work the lever and you do the brake bleeder or vise-versa, unless you have long monkey arms.

Got the book ordered.

thanks!

got the new caliper to bleed out, but the brakes still dont compress. i assume the 11 year old master is shot and just cant build enough pressure to engage the brakes.

It sometimes takes hours to bleed the rear brakes. Don't give up. A vacuum pump helps also. Be very careful not to run the reservoir dry, or you'll be starting over. I bled a damn rear brake for several hours because I let the reservoir run dry twice.
