Ever since its gotten a little bit over 70 degrees my bikes had no top end and I bog a lot and leave a trail of smoke behind me (not horrible just seems rich) My mods are hjr aggressive trail port, +4 timing, vf3's, pro design 22cc domes, pt mids and a 2-1 carb at sea level. I'm currently running high octane. My jetting was 195 but I dropped to a 188 and still no luck, 45 pilot (if i remember correctly, and I think a eek needle (maybe snop can chime in because he helped me out with it earlier. Sometimes there is a little bit of bog of a rolling start but nothing too bad so low end seems to be decent. My shop charges about 5 bucks a needle and i'm going to aruba for a week so would like to order the needles while i'm here. My idle screw is screwed almost all the way in so could that have anything to do with it? I might check my timing plate to make sure its still at +4 and the loctite is holding. Also after I rev my it seems like something is vibrating (almost like a metal vibrating). I just don't want to fuck my new top end before I even get to rip on it this summer. Let me know if theres anything else I need to let you guys know. Also I might switch back to stockers or 28's when I get around to it.

I just want to add that when I hit the throttle 5/8 and w.o.t are about the same power wise. The more gas I give it the louder it gets but no more power.

Thanks

cody

keep going down, and run some new fuel if it's a little old. you don't need higher octane and will probably loose some power. try a 50/50 mix or less. airscrews wanting to be that far in means that you need to up the pilot. also, make all adjustments for the bike at operating temperature.
