AlBa ShEe!! Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Sup guys and gals outta the BansheeHQ Forums? I recently purchased a 1996 Banshee which needs a topend job. The previous owner stated that the wrist pin had come loose and the piston had slapped around on the one side. If I do this, I plan on purchasing 2 LA Sleeves and a Weisco Piston Rebuild Kit. My question to you is how hard will it be to resleeve a Banshee? My friend has a Quadzilla in which he had to resleeve it and he did it by himself. I would rather buy 2 new sleeves and start from scratch instead of trying to guess the current bore and doin it halfass by buying 1 piston, etc... Quote
ohiobanshee Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Tear it down and take the cylinders to a machine shop to be miked before you buy parts. It could save you money in the long run.I bought a set of cylinders off ebay that a wrist pin circlip had came loose, all I had to do was have them bored.
