hi, I am new to bansheehq and this is my first post so I hope I did it right. I have a 2000 banshee with fmf sst pipes, k&n filter, no snorkle, and slight airbox mods. this banshee has run great for 3 years and went south. had top end rebuilt , .010 over and ran great for a little while - maybe a ride or two. now if you are idling and take off pinned at wot it bogs bad. if you are at 1/2 throttle for a minute or so and pin it, it bogs. when it finally revs it runs great. when you get it in the powerband it response good and runs great at wot. I took it in to a local yamaha dealer for diag cause I didn't have time to work on it, the tech said that my jetting was way rich. he said that with my mods I should have a 220 main jet. this seems way lean to me. I have a 260 main jet and a 27.5 pilot jet. I read on here about how to do the plug chop and did it - kind of. I didn't have the room to go wot threw all 6 gears. so I did two wot runs from 1st threw 4th, cut the plugs and it looks like I am lean. all I have is about 1/2 to 1mm mark on the plug 1/2 way around. is that due to not running all gears, or are my mains that lean. also I tried to check the idle mix and after idling for 10 minutes on new plugs, there is just a oil film on them, not any real staining. any help or giudance would be great. I am new to this site and pretty new to the banshee. thanks again.

what's your elevation/temp? how many seconds did you run wot? check your silencers and reeds, too.

I live and ride from 750ft to 1050ft above sea level. the temp is about 70 to 80degres f lately. I ran maybe 4 to 6 seconds per pass and made 2 passes to give some time on the plugs. the reeds look o.k. check what on the silencers? the packing? was repacked after the rebuild less than aprox. 7 hours ago. I have heard guys saying that ricky stator products have givin them trouble, I do have a ricky stator ignition coil. any ideas.
