yamaha11 Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 how do i get the cover to stop leaking. iv tried a billet cover, rtv hi temp silicon and still no luck. i have a case over on it would that be making it not seal tight enought? need some help it driving me nuts Quote

I thought that it was the nuetral safety switch cover on my bike a while back but turned out to the output shaft seal. I too have a case saver on mine. Quote

someone82 Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 it maybe the output seal cuz the other should not leak after all the rtv sealer. could be, mine was leaking down and around the edge of the cover making it look like the cover was leaking, it wasen't untill I had the bike on it's side; thats when I had a better view of the output seal relizing that was the cause of the leak.
