Banshee 410 Mayhem Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Ok, I purchased my 2004 Banshee with the 410 Big Bore Kit on it, The kid that had it before me that traded it in at the local dealership had a cool head on it, when he traded it in, he took the cool head but left the cool head studs on it. Now with the stock head back on it he had a bunch of washers to take up the extra space. Not only does it look shitty but im having problems getting the head to seal up tight. Does anyone know if the 410 big bore kits use the stock head studs or different ones. If so where can I get the studs I need to use the stock head. It has the spacer plate in between the jugs and the head for the 410 clearence. Someone please help!! Quote

BoostedRex Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Any one out there that can help?? If you have a big bore motor. You need to get an aftermarket head with "big bore" domes. If you run a stock head that has not been cut for the bigger pistons its going to run like shit and could ruin it. And it sounds like the guy who traded it in didn't do that to the stock head. Quote
Banshee 410 Mayhem Posted June 22, 2009 Author Report Posted June 22, 2009 Thank you for your input- It runs great now- but 1 I think it looks shitty with the washers and 2 I'm afraid of the head gasket leaking- It runs like a bat out of hell now, and has since the motor was done about 6 months ago- Quote
