GrMeyer Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Well after getting my jugs ported I went riding and I shifted down from 6th to 5th to turn a corner and it just dies. Pulled the head and the crank turns ok. Put it up on blocks and put it in 1st with head off and try to turn the tires and NO GO!!! anyone had this Prob? Quote

#1JUANstunna Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 With the clutch cover off turn everything that the kicker would turn if you kicked it if that makes sense. With the clutch basket off will the crank spin? Will the tranny input shaft turn in N? Quote

You were able to shift thru the gears thought with the engine off, right. Take your chain off and your sure that your axle spins. I'm all over the place, just thinking about different things. Quote
GrMeyer Posted June 14, 2009 Author Report Posted June 14, 2009 Yup axle spins because i had to get towed back to my truck. It will shift through all gears sitting still. When I drained the trans oil I didnt see any metal or shavings or peaces Quote

I know...I dont want to because it just got put back together.... and have another motor I have to tear down...Seems like it is a bad year for me and quads but the other one is a easy fix...had a bolt break off so i have to pull the head and jug and thats about it..
