joee20002 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 what size mains are some of you guys running on your 350cc drag bikes with alky? Quote
shanYE west Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Alot of that depends on what type of porting and who ported it.. Different builders porting has different fuel needs. Start rich and lean back.. One thing about alky is that it really dont mind rich jetting like gas. Quote
sheefreak Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 I would guess .116's, 52 pilot, and needle and clip will depend on how large your dumps are drilled. I find that it is much easier to start off pig rich on your pilot and needle as well as your main and bring the main down untill it shows some heat on the plugs. Once you see heat, you can start to dial in your pilot and needle. You will have to do those by feel. So basically make sure you have to rap it a hair to get her cleaned out when you first start dialing it in. You can then fine tune the low end once you have the main and pj settings figured out. On my 4 mill stock cyl I ran .120 mains w/PJ almost closed, 52 pilot, airscrew 1 turn out and leaned the needle down to the second from top notch on the needle. I could have definately went 116's and made use of the PJ. The bigger your dump tube is drilled, the more you will want to lean the needle. Quote
