redcobrasc Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 Im thinking of buying this 1996 banshee all stock and this trailer for 2k. The only problem is that it wont start, it has comp, and is in pretty good shape, he said he installed a ricky stator on it, and reading some of these threads it sounds like that could be the problem. The trailer is going to be a dual harley carrier if it could handle the weight, fatboys weigh about 850 lbs each which is no big deal. What should i look for as a redflag, their is no oil leaks, it has all the stock switches, ignition key,......... He said that he upgraded the stator because he wanted stronger lights, and has not ridden it for a season and a half? these are my harley's Im thinking of carrying on this trailer with a few mods to it. GrMeyer Posted June 1, 2009 Report Posted June 1, 2009 looks good to me...pull the spake plug out and have someone kick it over while you hold it to a ground point. if not spark you can start with the electrical. I stayed with the stock stator just for the reason almost everyone is having probs with them...all in all i went with a led side marker light as my tail light and put 2 (mr16)35w lights up front...1 flood and 1 spot Quote
