Toomey Banshee Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Like I said, I put a new throttle cable on my sons 99. It still has the TORS, but they're disconnected, parking brake disconnected. I had the bike apart for a bit cleaning everything. Started and idled fine before the new cable. My question is this, does it matter which carb you route the throttle cable to? I.E. is there a specific right and left cable or does it matter? I've replace throttle cables before on my other bikes but they both have 33 Keihns. I replaced the cable from bars to the carbs and the smaller cables that run from the TORS to the carb slides. I'm thinking its probably an air leak somewhere but wasnt sure about the routing of the cable. Thanks. Quote
Overboost Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 they are not side specific. each has an adjustment on them to fine tune them and sync the carbs. I would reset the idle on the tors boxes right down to zero and bottom them out. then set the idle from there. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted May 17, 2009 Author Report Posted May 17, 2009 Thanks. It wound up being the slides were open too much from the new cable. Synced em up all better now. Quote
