alright so i bought a 99 banshee 350 today with gold fattys k&n open filters and fmf stage 3 jets. ansl vito's carbon fiber reeds, and ngk plugs. the problem is when accelerating the bike seems to top out too soon. ive seen people able to spin tires by just popping the cluth, yet this thing seems to have the power of a 50cc! i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? btw i know a good amount about bikes but not alot about jetts and stff so it would be cool to talk to me like ann idiot

What the hell does "Stage 3 Jets" consist of? What size are they? Sounds like it's WAY too rich.

it says main jets 270, main jets 280, main jets 340, fuel needle 304 e-clip, adjusting washer

do you have k&n clamp on pod filters?

i'm also going to guess that you'll be better off running stock needles, than those rich/fat vito ones.

what is you're new jetting?

ok, so your idle is about 1000-1500rpm. would you say that it's cutting ou at about twice that? (2300 rpm) if so, then check your e-brake wires. it's the wires coming off the clutch lever perch. unplug them.

the new jetting are 270 mains, needle clip is stock. i was thinking about the e-brake as the possible problem but wasn't sure if that was the cause. however i did notice that when i pull the e-brake nothing happens. it will roll freely...

haha, no problem. did you unplug the wires? the switch will fail eventually, and you'll have to do it anyways.

oh, and i'd go up on the jetting, or at least do a plug chop to make sure it's not lean.
