There is a shoulder on the detent arm bolt that must be located properly. Night need to open the case and take another peek at the installation. Brandon Quote

Brandon yeah man i opened her up last night and it shifts down awsome now but still misses gears on the way up? i am going to look again and see whats going on in there Quote

mason07shee Posted May 5, 2009 Author Report Posted May 5, 2009 Make sure your space is equal on the shift shaft,there is an eccentric slotted bolt w/locknut if adjustment is needed i have adjusted it back and forth a hundred times and it seems like it only shifts up half a gear ???? it wont sit in the right spot on the detent in the shift star. so i am going to open this bitch up for the the 400th time and see if it will shift any better i have to get it right before the 15th i have a trip i am going on! I just don't get it! could i have moved that shift drum or something dumb like that i have tried moving it around and changing some things and no matter what i try it just wont shift im confused and i need this thing running for the 15. SAVAGE420 Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 Are you trying to shift it while the bike is not moving? If so it wont go through all the gears unless you are rolling OR turning the crank shaft by hand while shifting by hand. Quote
