avengerdude27 Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 ****PLEASE BEAR WITH ME THIS IS MY FIRST 2 STROKE**** the shee was due for re ring, we ripped it down and are now trying to identify whats all in it. since when i bought it the original owner didn't tell me. But it definitely had work. Also if anyone has ever heard of a dcr that does port work they did my cylinders and id like to locate them Anyway the crank in it does not appear to be the stock crank, I'm only assuming this because he gave me a crank in a box of spare parts. But it is a stock stroke. it has Vito's pistons in it with a 1.50mm overbore. Now where the issue is i need to identify if the pistons are stock pin height because I'm boring it to 2mm over due to cylinder all scarring and replace with wisecos. Not only that how can i tell which of the Vito"s series that were i it. All im asking for is a way to id what crank is in it and a way to tell what pistons i need to get her back up and running. i can post a pic if it will help Quote
avengerdude27 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Posted April 20, 2009 also machine is trail ridden and sometimes flat-tracked has trail port fmf fattys boysen power reeds pro design intake kit ricky stator 200watt with timing plate set at +4 just bought a coolhead, thinking 20cc domes i want to stay within pump gas range Quote
deckheight Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 If the top of the wrist pin hole is apx. 28.25mm down from the top of the piston they are standard pistons. Personally I would go with 21cc domes for 91-92 octane pump. Quote
Woolfman Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 post the pic. What does the box say if it is from vito's I believe on a stock stroke they only have a vito's crank or hotrod so one of those two. As for the pistons can't say with out saying it's not those vito's cast junk ones is it I think they call em super stock or pro stock something like that is it? Quote
avengerdude27 Posted April 21, 2009 Author Report Posted April 21, 2009 i dont have the box, i found them to be vito's when i removed them from the engine, ill grab a few pics when i get home from work Quote
