ban06shee Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 will i lose top/bottom end power when i put on cool heads 18cc domes? if so how much or where at, anything really noticable? if there is a loss in power somewhere whats the best mod to keep the power all the way around? i got t6's with k&n pods and outerwear, adjustable timing will be moved up to +5, v-force3 reeds, i run 91oct. im at 2389 elevation. thanks for the help Quote
278 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Your biggest hold back is those T-6's go with some T-5's but no you wont lose anything from the head it should give you power all over, as far as timing, any particular reason your going to 5 most people go to +4, just a question not knocking you bro but with the 18cc domes and +4 or 5 timing you might have to run a higher octane it depends on your compression when your done Quote

278 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 I feel ya man i did the same thing, and working my ass off all of last summer and $3000 dollars later there's what's in my sig. and just getting started lol. ok I was just curious, I think +4 or 5 is fine. Just do a compression test once you get it put together and tell us what it is and we can help you better with octane, because that seems a little low on octane for your timing and domes, but you can make an accurate decision without know what your comp. is. 2003LimitedBanshee Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 I can't imagine not needing to run race fuel with those domes and that much timing. I run 20cc domes in my head and at 1900' I have just over 170 psi in each cylinder, coupled with the +4 timing, I run trick race fuel when I go to the dunes at sea level. With 18cc domes and +5 timing, I just can't see a way that you aren't going to need it. With the T6's I assume you are unported? Quote
