mangler Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 So my buddy picked up a nice looking banshee yesterday. Had some Vito's pipes and Kehein 35's on it. Carbon reeds and a few other things. Anyway, it ran great for about twenty minutes then started to bog real bad. When he first got it it would wire up first kick instantly. After it started bogging from a few good rips it was imposable to kick start but we could get it push started but it wouldnt run down low. Anyway, both cylinders were showin 100psi compression and the reeds were looking beat up. It looks to have some porting done but we cant figure out what pistons/ rods are in it. All we can see on the rods are L29 and the only numbers on the pistons are D00F.8. We figured out after tinkering with it that the petcock was barely flowing any fuel on RUN but would flow fine on RESERVE. Any help with what pistons these could be would be great. Quote
AKheathen Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 how did you check the compression? 10-15 kicks holding the carbs wide open? what tester? elevation? i would get your reeds in check, clean out your carbs, and drain the tank/ clean out the petcock (there is a screen in there) put new plugs and premix in, then move to jetting  Quote
