monsterarmyriders Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 ok my banshee never starts, it never starts unless i use starting fluid. and i think its because the choke on the carburetors doesnt work. how does the choke work with the butterfly? thanks Quote
AKheathen Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 butterfly? the choke uses the vacume from idle to suck fuel out of the left carb when you open the passage. make sure the chke tube is connected. the left carb should have a brass bead on the side of the bowl- tward the reeds. the holes in the slides should be uncovered by the cable retainers. MILO Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 i'm with AKheathen. check that the hose is in place between the carbs and that the carb bowls have not been switched. the left side bowl has the 'starter jet' in the bottom of it. also double check that the slides in the carb have not been swapped or in backwards. make sure your filter and carbs are clean and you have good plugs. basically, check the easy stuff first. Quote
