Hey, I got the trinity 2-1 carb/k&n/outerwear, Well, i like to play in the rain/shine, so i decided to play around with some diamond tread aluminum left overs i had in the shed. dont get to go to the dunes as often as id like, but i'm trying to make this as simple as possible, and easy to install/take out for the dunes. Im mostly concerned when hitting puddles, water splashes in from the front and sides i think. so i might leave the back portion open. and top, i was thinking of using some window screen, that way i dont restrict too much air flow.

Its dirty in the picture, ill take some CLR to it after i cut it up.

If i have to, ill weld the bottom to the sides *instead of bending/breaking*, leaving a gap so that any water that does get in, can get out.

Function over form lol. beats paying money tho

If anyone has any ideas, throw them out there.

Thanks

CLR? just polish it real quick, or you'll have to work harder later. you may want to roll thr top sides inward, instead of outward, and just weld mount tabs. and put the holes in the bottom corners of the front and rear of the box. you can just cut the corners off the bottom before you weld. that's just my ideas on how i'd do it. and maybey not so long

haha, i know what it is. i was just questioning it's use. you don't want it to etch the aluminum if you're gonna polish it, or it will be 10x harder then just polishing it. was that 3030, or 3001 diamondplate?
