TJScott Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) I need to test out my jetting. I live in southern Missouri. I bought my carbs from a guy in Colorado I believe. Lower elevation means I need to make it leaner right? Anyways, I adjusted my needle and it seems to run best on the bottom with the needle on the last clip, that cant be right can it? Ever since I adjusted the needle my powerband is almost non-existant, the bike refuses to rev that high. What do I need to do? Edited March 24, 2009 by TJScott Quote

What do I need to do? the closer you are to sea level, the fatter the jetting it will require, the lower you get, the air gets denser. same with cold, cold air is denser than warm air. list what are all your mods are and current jetting so someone with a similar setup can give you a an estimate of the neighborhood you should be in Quote
TJScott Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 the only mods that would affect my jetting that i have are vitos reeds, k&n pods with outwears, T5's, and its bored .80. 1 more question. when i first got it it was running rough, along with smoking a TON but putting the clip 3 up helped it alot, so obviously it was running rich. heres my question, why did that seem to hurt 3/4 to full throttle, and why was it smoking so bad if it needed to be richer?
