Hello, My name is Scot and I live in Carlsbad (San Diego), Ca......on my 4th Banshee in the last 6 years...I got a couple Qs:

first things first....I just had an 03 (last week) with T6s...SOLD IT....I just got a 1998 with toomey T5s....thats about it....it litterally starts FIRST KICK though....NO JOKE.....: )

1) When I take off from a start it doesn't go as fast as my 03 did...but when it hits the power band it GOES FAST as usual........."""KINDA""" boggin a little in the begining.....doesnt QUITE seem normal....or am I just used to a newer bike?....Or is it the different Toomeys......Or is there something I could clean or adjust......PLEEEEEEEASE HELP.....: )

2) Anywhere I can get a DUNCAN (ONE) graphics and seat kit for a BLACK BANSHEE for under $100....?

New to the site but not to the BANSHEE..........Thanks for having me

P.S. Also REALLY into OLD SCHOOL BMX from the 80s........Got anything?

Thanks,

~Scot

Sounds like jetting to me.

Could be a little rich on the pilot and/or needle setting.

Nice avatar Killshee...and whats a "PLUG CHOP" ?

AND is this "pilot or needle setting" something "I" can adjust

changing jets and needle position is really easy. the jets are in the bottom of the carbs (take the bottom half of the carb off) and the needle is in the top (unscrew the carb cap to get to it).

and welcome to the hq.

yes

i would start with the needle on the center "third clip" and also. do u kno your elevation. do u have stock air box, no lid or pods?

a plug chop is when u get a brand new set of plugs and u go all out 1st to sixth gear and hit the kill switch and pull the plugs and put in a diff set ride back to your garage and take the plugs u ran 1st to 6th and cut them so u can see the electrode. the electrode thing should be like a golden brown color if its to light your lean if its to dark your rich.

thanx i kno i love the avatar

also if u do not have a carb sync tool i would look into getting one and syncing your carbs. first set ur air screw at 1 1/2 turns and sync ant idle then use a stop on ur cable and sync at like idk between 1/4 and 1/2 throughtle. there is a sticky in the jetting topic with a video.
