stock carrier there are to long bolts that need to be loosened 15 and 17mm if i remember right then you extend the lil bolt under neath to push the carrier out. then snug that down and then tighten big bolts.

By the way, it shouldn't be really tight. You should have about an inch of up and down slack in it, with you sitting on the bike. If it's tighter than that, you could break the case where the primary sprocket is, or break the chain and it could bust your cases.
