robert0762 Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 I have never heard of ne one changing the air jet. Just curious to know why we dont bother with it Quote
Fireroad Express Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 it doesn't really make much of a difference on a case reed type set-up. two strokes with higher manifold pressures like rotary valve engines (eg Rotax 670 or 583) react to air jet changes alot more. it is basically just there to aid in atomizion when used with a case-reed engine like a banshee's. in most case reed snowmobile engines they don't run any jet in the air passage at all. any change in engine performance by switching airjets would probably be very small. changing or adjusting your needle would have more of an effect. sleeper06 Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Not every carb set up has a tunable air jet cicuit,30mm mikuni set-up I ran one because I coulnt find a happy medium with the pilot jet, other than that SUDCO said they dont ship them with an air jet, unless requested.or thats what he told me when I asked him why I didnt have one Quote
