millertime Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 well i am wondering if anyone knows a good starting point start with jetting for these carbs ..mikuni vm 34.... like what size pilots and something close on the needles and mains.... it is going on stock cylinders, ported.. bored.. and a 4 mill long rod motor... cpi in frames.... just need something to start with, i am at 5,000 feet.. thanks for any input Quote
Fireroad Express Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 i'm running 280 mains, stock needle,mid clip and 45 pilots in my 34 tm mikuni flatslides. this is at sea level. my mods are: dune port,+4 mil crank,18cc domes,+5 advance,68mm bore and DMC pipes. if i had VMs on my bike i'd jet them slightly richer as the TMs are just a tad more efficient. i don't know what to tell ya for jetting suggestions but this may give you some basis for comparison.
