I like PC and FMF, because they are alot cheaper then the others. I only wna tto hear from people who have owned them. which one is better. i dont have money to buy t6 or t5 cuz i only got 400 dollars or so to spend. Quote

Ok lets say i wanted fmf for my bike. what would be the best pipes an dsilencers to buy or same for pc. whcih one be the best set up I race on dirt roads. Quote

sredish Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 if you look around right, you can find great buys on used stuff in great shape. IMO, FMF Fatties are an underrated pipe. They're a good all-around pipe that performs great with mods later on and you can usually pick them up for not a lot of dough. I had a set of over 2 years and they never rusted on me. Pipes first then compression, in that order. You can mill your head to gain compression and it won't cost much for that. Quote

FMF makes 4 different pipes that are easily obtainable right now, so its going to depend on your riding type. Also, a list of mods to the bike would be handy, and some insight to future mods as well. camatv Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 ok well here's to answer your real question. i have had pro circuits, t-5's, fmf gold seriers and SST"s on the same engine. i can tell you this: the t-5's are a GREAT pipe they pull nicely on the bottom and over all have the strongest midrange of all the pipes listed ( this is also on a ported banshee with carbs and head and stuff also ran the pc's and t-5's on an alky drag ported 350cc) the PRO CIRCUITS are also a great pipe i;d say they donthave as strong as a midrange but are more "fluid" of a pipe the power trnasfers easily through the rpm and they rev a lil further than the t-5's its a tough choice between them on dirt roads riding ( wide fkn open) the fmf's gold series can be bought for dirt cheap and are a great pipe they are strong all the way through the rpm range but definatelly hit a brick wall on the top end. they just wont rev as far powering as the t-5's or the PC'S the sst's are an improvement of the gold series. they pull farther on top and haved a stronger midrange.. if you wanting a REV pipe the CPI's are good choice if you want an OVERREV pipe or super strong high rpm drag pipe the shear's are a great pipe neather are good "trail" pipes or cruiser pipes.. thes one listed above are my favorites for that. I strongly disagree, pc's are a low-mid pipe that has an even lower redline rpm than a 2 into 1 pipe. So there is no possible way they rev a little higher than the T5 does. The T5 is a mid-top pipe that was designed off the gold series pipe. Their power characteristics are almost identical, except the fmf gold series makes more lower midrange power from my experience with it. THE T5 AND THE FMF GOLD SERIES PIPES DEFINITELY REV WAY HIGHER THAN THE PRO CIRCUITS DO! Quote
flotek Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 sometimes when your getting a feel for the exhaust power curve by the seat of the pants testing youll be inclined to think it makes a real abundance of arm ripping power in the midrange becuase the delivery is sudden and breaks the wheels loose ,but in actuality it can mean the pipe is simply lacking usable lowend torque and comes on late giving the impression its a more powerful pipe ,just something to think about and consider .
