supersider Posted March 5, 2009 Report Share Posted March 5, 2009 Just slapped my new 35pwks on my bike. I;m having trouble tuning it. I got the carbs prejetted from cpw. I'm runnin t5's stage 5 porting by trinity, and its 4 mil. My problem is when i start it, i have to hold the throttle 1/4 to 1/2 open. When i let go, it dies! So whats the problem? I ve turn the idle and mixture screws about a 100x. Pulled the plug 100x. Finally i got them honey brown. But i cant get it to idle. Any suggestions??? sredish Posted March 5, 2009 Report Share Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) try bigger pilot. when you open the throttle up to keep it going, your opening the main jet circuit some to let fuel through. so, either bigger pilot or clogged pilot.
