Franky Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 I have been out of touch with banshees a while but just bought another last week. It is a drag port 350 wtih CPIs on alky. My last bike was on alky and pulled much better as I recall. The compression is 180 but I pulled the head off anyway to see how things looked. It is definitely all business in the ports but the head domes do not appear to be anything special. They are 17cc domes but on my last bike, I recall them having a much wider outer band and I had them custom made. Can anyone tell me what to look for to see if these are for alky or not and if not, where do I go to get alky domes? Is 17cc the right size? I can probably get a pic if that would help. Quote
1996dragshee Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 The dome size in cc is your choice.lower dome size higher compression.I thought custom cut domes were cut to bore size, stroke and piston type with crown angle and of course the cc depending on customers needs? Quote
J-Madd Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Not sure you can tell a difference in alky and gas domes by looking; nor do I think there is a great perfomance difference between the alky and gas domes. I run gas domes on my 4mil alky Cub and it runs great; faster than a lot of others like it. Quote
