Hey, I was wondering how i could tell if i have a broken reed.

 

I think i might of broke or cracked one of my reeds cause my quad is acting realy weird. I just put new clutch plates in if that has anything to do with it? :happy:

what is it doing to act weird? only way to check them is to pull them out. it's not that hard

what do you mean when you say acting weird what exactly is it doing.

clean area around reed & cylinder

remove carburator

ramove the pipe

remove bolt securing the intake manifold to cylinder block

remove the reed

actually, the carbs will move out of the way when you pull the airbox boots, and you don't need to pull the pipes, which can be a real pita if you still have fenders.
