drap660 Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Looking into getting a pd cool head with 19cc domes. I have a 4mill with 66mm piston, vf3 reeds, some good porting and stator plate. My question is do these domes have to be modified for a 66mm piston? I know on a stock head anytime I would bore my cyl's Id have to match the head. Quote
1996dragshee Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Depending on the piston crown angle and the stroke.I think 67mm bore and after have to be cut for the bore size.So being that you run a 4mill crank (assuming hot rods)and have 66mm pistons,i'm gonna say yes.Your gonna need to know what pistons you have to get the correct dome size cut for the specific CC you want...blaster pistons have a 9 degree crown angle so if you need to have domes cut they only run $85..Call F.A.S.T or Noss Machine they can let you know for sure on this Quote
drap660 Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 Just called pro design. 64-66mm piston will be fine for their dome. now if you are hiding the stroker in the head (no base plate) they must be machined Quote
