jeb Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I need some info from someone who knows about Wisconsin and titles. I am looking at purchasing a frame from someone. This person bought the frame off of Ebay from the last registered owner who lived in Wisconsin. According to the guy that I am possibly purchasing the frame from they do not issue titles in Wisconsin and simply register the bikes. Is this correct? He will be selling me the frame with a bill of sale from himself since he never titled or registered the frame here. He will also provide me a bill of sale and the registration from the person he bought the frame from in Wisconsin. I thought that in order to register a bike who have to have a title, or at least here you do. Without a title the frame is worthless to me since it is law here that you have to title the bike, and then get an OHV sticker. Anyone know? Quote

This person bought the frame off of Ebay from the last registered owner who lived in Wisconsin. According to the guy that I am possibly purchasing the frame from they do not issue titles in Wisconsin and simply register the bikes. Is this correct? Yes, the only things needed to register a quad in Wisconsin is a frame serial number, total width, total weight, and a few other small non-important things I can't remember... He will be selling me the frame with a bill of sale from himself since he never titled or registered the frame here. Now I don't know your specific laws, but I would be able to legally register that frame in Wisco. The questions probably need to get directed to your local DNR or conservation club to get answers. The fact that there is a history of bill of sales, I would **think** that you would be able to get the frame titled in your state. Just a start... Evan Quote
