lt1bird Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 looking for an advance map for my 535...need a starting point I have programmable ignition..... non drag bike...street use.... Thanks! Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Try curve 3. Its the advance sheet for a dyna. Quote
lt1bird Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 I did see that one......... just wondering if there is anyone else that maybe did some dyno runs.... to perfect it... Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I did do some dyno runs with custom curves I made. That curve at +4 made the most sensible hp and torque on my motor. Quote
lt1bird Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 so you used curve #3 and also moved your timing plate to +4 ? You run race gas?? Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 so you used curve #3 and also moved your timing plate to +4 ? You run race gas?? I programed the +4 into the curve with the programmer kit. I run straight race gas. Quote
lt1bird Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 with that timing I thought you would...... thanks You programmed it exactly as curve #3.....for a big bore engine? What size engine do you have? Pipes? Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 with that timing I thought you would...... thanks You programmed it exactly as curve #3.....for a big bore engine? What size engine do you have? Pipes? It wasn't programmed for a big bore. Big bore timing is the same as small bore except for advance in most cases. The only change I could see in making a big bore curve is to accentuate a certain area of the powerband. You could do that on a small bore anyway. DAJ uses curve 3 on his drag bike as well. Its just a well built factory dyna curve. My motor is a stock cylinder, stock stroke, stock bore, ported 350 with Pro circuit pipes, and 185psi compression. I just took curve 3 and added 4 degrees to each section of the timing table to advance it. Quote
