MikeNick Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Well I have been stumped again by my Banshee..Old bitch....My left headlight wiring was melted where a previous owner tried to hook lights back up I believe because they raced it and anyways they just twisted 2 wires together and wrapped electrical tape around all 3 headlight wires...SO I decided to fix it, well the further down the wires I went I came to see they were fucked up more so now I have my whole front end including gastank off the bike. Question is there was this button switch wired into the wires going to the kill/headlight switch on the handlebars. It just pulled out of where it was wired because as the 2 pics show everything with red heatshrink connectors is what I just replaced because it was just twisted together with tape wrapped around..So anybody know what this switch is or does and do I need to wire it back in??? [img=http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h118/1low98/101_0077.jpg] [img=http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h118/1low98/101_0078.jpg] And this is the switch I am talkin about. Is it a killswitch or ??? Why would they have it or why was it on there..PLEASE HELPPP ME [img=http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h118/1low98/101_0079.jpg] Quote
killshee Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 i belive its part of the tors ... and it will kill your spark ... i just cut out the switch and sod the two wires together Quote
MikeNick Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 Ok thanks man..I have everything back together so I reckon I will just try it w/o that switch.. Quote
Snopczynski Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 thats not a factory part. If you push it in and it does not click, then its more than likely a killswitch. Quote

Yeah it doesnt click..It measures as a closed cicuit like it is and it's open when you push the button..But why would it be under the plastic in the harness??? People who had this bike b4 me need trout slapped..I've done nothing but fix fuck ups and half ass repair jobs on this damn thing. Quote
Snopczynski Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Are you still using a stock kill switch. Quote
