Powdercoating shock springs

I'm upgrading my suspension soon and will probably want to powdercoat the new springs to match my bike. Is this possible? How hard is it to disassemble the shock to get the springs out? I'm looking at a new set of Works dual rate fronts and send the rear to Works for a heart transplant.

they are easy if they are aftermarket. Just relieve the springs with the compression ring up top so that you can remove the C clip holder on the bottom. Before you do that take measurements of how far the preload ring is down on both ends. that way when your ready to reup on the shocks you can have them the way you had them. Other then that its easy and just take your time.
