z400 timing

tryin to get my buddies z400 back up and running...need to know what marks to line up one the wheel...theres a 1,2,and a 3 on the wheel....what marks do i line up?..i know its off topic...but its gettin chilly out and hes just as stupid to riding in the freezing weather like myself....I NEED A RIDING BUDDY!!

ok i havent done it in a while but put the exhaust cam where the lobe points toward the exhuast, I cant remember which number it will be on the wheel but whatever that number is have the line on the arrow parrallel to the head surface. Now, with that in place whatever number on that same cam is pointing up, towards the tank you could say, count 15 pins on the chain back towards the intake, and on that 15th pin put the intake cam in with the lobes pointing towards the intake. Again i cant rememeber the exact number but whatever number is pointin up on the intake cam put that number right on the 15th pin. :biggrin: sounds funny but its right, i can get the exact numbers tomorrow if you need them.
