so i was out the other day riding my shee and it started poring out radiator fluid but it didnt feel hot at all. my question is could it still build up to much pressure and make it look like it was over heating from a part going bad? and btw never open the reservoir to check if there is fluid in there or else it will shoot out at you. i got my right side of my face and my arm sprayed with really hot crap and got burnt bad

i took the top off the overflow and thats how i got sprayed

Don't open a hot radiator.

It will spray you in the face.

Did you change your jetting recently? Any temperature changes? Do you run a coolant rezzy or no? (It's an overflow bottle, under the seat towards the back of the bike.)

Where was it coming from?

Mods?

i didnt open the radiator it was the overflow bottle that i opened up and thats what sprayed me in the face. only mod is a k&n filter. jetting should be running rich since it came from 2.3k to 4k above sea level. and it was about 70 or 80 outside. i thinking what it was was where i was riding at. it was all very soft sand and might have over worked the engine trying to get through that

I would reccommend a jetting size for you, but I can't to be honest. I've only ever ridden at sea level, but the other guys on here can get you near perfect (they are pretty good.)

Did it overheat, or comletely boil over?

Do you know how to check your jetting sizes?

-Check the radiator cap to make sure it's functional.

-Check your stock water impeller(it's plastic, could've melted.)

-Check for any leaks, loose hoses, etc.

-Take your radiator off (if dirty), and spray it from the back with compressed air.

-Flush all the coolant, and replace it with Engine Ice.

-Check the motor for internal damage.

I boiled my bike over pretty bad once from working it to hard on a humid night at the drag strip, and it took me a while to shake the problem.

Either it boiled over REALLY bad, or you have a leak.

Did you ride it with the coolant empty?

I hope you didn't fry any rings or anything.

no most i rode it was when it was empty was about 10 feet to load it into my truck but like i said when i started it up after it over heated it ran fine but i was in to much pain to check anything else

get a new 16 psi cap, fill the radiator to the fullest. Put the cap on and set the overflow resevoir to the low mark. Make sure the bike is cold when you do all this.

ok i found the gaskets and now one last question. should i replace the water pump with a billet aluminum or stainless steel one. the aluminum one is $80 and the steel one is $52 or would i be fine with the stock one?

As long as your stock one is fine...you can wait.

I'd do it ASAP though.

I'd do billet.
