THE GRIM RIPPER Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Hold wait, arent yours beadlocks? You dont have to use a bead breaker. Um, yeah..... You defiantly shouldnt need a bead breaker Pete. Have you ever taken the outer rings off? Just curious Quote
MarineNYC Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 The fronts are only single side beadlocks. Hiper doesnt make duals for the front Quote
THE GRIM RIPPER Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Didnt know that.... My buddies run them but I never really paid attention the front inners I guess lol... But even still, with the outer front free the inner bead should come off fairly easy, right? Unless your runnin 6 plys maybe, there fuckin tuff sob's Quote

rtcc Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Well I have only installed my tires on the rims, but the rears for sure you dont need one. If you take both rings off the tire will just slide right off. It will need some help, like use something slick like tire shine or simple green and you should able to push them right off. The fronts with the bead ring off, you should still be able to pull the tire off in the direction the bead ring was. Again, might not be easy, but there is no reason that you would have to pry the tire up and over anything. Thats what the bead ring does, it is like a removable bead lip for the rim. So it sandwich's the bead of the tire between the ring and the rim. Thats the reason you can run the tires with virtualy no air and the tire wont come off the rim. Quote

rtcc Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) I was thinking I would just leave the rim on the shee and then take the ring off and the tire should just pull right off the rim. The isnt anything that should hold it on. Like I said earlier you have to lubricate it, cause the tire inner ring is like exactly the same as the rim size. There is just no lip to pull it over. I hope this is how it goes, cause I installed them by just pushing the tire on the there and then bolting the ring on. Couldnt be any different taking it off, just reverse order. here, go to http://hiperracingwheels.com/faqs.aspx click the top link and its a pdf on how to install the tires, should be the same in reverse order.
