So we didnt get there until 2 am. anyways we woke up early Saturday got ready and started our first ride. Awsome trails. 20 minutes into it and i blew a front tire bad slice on the sidewall. went back to the cabin jumped into the truck and drove an hour out to two stores in the area. no one had the right size for me. Lucky for me my buddy brought an extra 400 ex all done up. I was bumbed out i couldnt ride the banshee but this 400ex really is sick and the minute i got on it i was loven it. Jumped back on the trail and what do ya know my other buddy blows out his tire on the same exact rock. We do the same thing go back to the stores, no luck. Get back to the site and decide to just get waisted. Drove back yesterday afternoon. 10 hrs in the truck for 40 minutes of riding. Still had fun. I have to admitt I might by a used 4 stroke sport atv for my back up quad. How was everyone elses weekend? Quote
wacko2000 Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Sounds like we had a similiar weekend..Except i did get alot of riding in, i Was coming up a hill and jumped at the top, when i landed my boy was right there, i Locked up my brakes and T-boned him, My front right tire broke off the bead, some locals had a Co2 tank and they fixed it in like 3min, pretty kool.. I was also rocking my boys yfz450 alot of the day and im in the market for a 4poker now also..lol They really are great trail bikes... Pete this plcae you are talkin about, is it big, what type of riding is it? Quote

Joseph, the riding in maine is great. they have wide open trails with lots of flat trails which is fun to really open the shee up, as well as tech. trails w rocks, logs, water, mud etc. we found some great sand pits, with some pretty cool hills, although not half as high as coal hill, lol. theres really everything in maine. i love it. our cabin was real nice with a nice kitchen, bathroom, family room and a wide open upstairs w seven bends. the trails were right in the back yard. we brought grills up and had cookouts. people are real nice up there nobody bothers you. alot of atvers were out there this weekend. we found a real cool bar that was jamming at night too. what kind of 4poker you looking at? are you going to keep the shee? And damn Joseph?? T - Boned your boy?! Holy shit, hope he's alright! I had a pretty sweet day Sunday. Went to a Sand Quarry spot thats relatively close. It was the first time out since my last full rebuild that I had my jetting perfect... (I was rich till now) And I was givin' to alllllllllll who wanted it!!! 700 R Raptor, TRX450 R's, 250 R, and another Banshee.... But that was just one highlight. I got some hot woods laps in, dialed the suspension in perfect.... But the best part is I gut to ride with a couple buddies I havent seen in a while... My one boy just came back from Florida (the 700 R Raptor I smoked) And my other buddy Chris Tait (Pro MX Rider) came out also... He was riding the "Practice bike" lol..... Fuckin $20,000 dollar YFZ (Who I didnt even bother racing by the way lol) But then on the way out after a great day of riding I ran outta gas (mis-judged my reserve!) which sucked because I had to wait in the trail for 45 min untill my banshee buddy brought me my V.P ...... And here, when he gets back, he tells me he took to a while because my boy on the Rappy got stung by a bee in the upper lip and crashed!!! He was fine after the (minor) crash but by the time they got back to the truck his lip was three times the size as normal!!!! He avoided the hospital by poppin' some benedril tho so thats cool.... But he used to have a 98' Banshee himself, all done up, and after I let him take mine out for a little reminissin'.... He wanted another one. lilmegill727 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) hey pete, i havent really rode that many 4 strokes but one i have rode that i love is the 08' ktm 525xc. my dads friend owns and parts and ktm dealer here and let us demoed one for a weekend. we brought it upstate and we beat that thing and it took it fine like i was jumpin it like 4 feet in the air on to really really hard packed ground landed it sideways and shit and those ohlins shocks were awesome! were eventually getting that bike in a year or 2!! i havent ridden em but i also like the yfz 450 and its not a popular brand but that can-am 450 is really nice too but i havent ridden it so idk but a bunch of racers are starting to race it like heres two john natalie jr, derek guetter etc. how bout this ktm http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Powersports...d=p4506.c0.m245 . nice but little expensive lol. or how bout this ds 450 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Powersports...d=p4506.c0.m245 :shrug: -kevin Edited October 14, 2008 by lilmegill727 Quote

lilmegill727 Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 kevin that thing is sweet too bad its so far away, lol i think im going w the kawi 450 nice i bet you'll love it all the modern 450s amd 400s are good. i do like the look of the kawi but the only thing i dont like is the aluminum frame and its all in the middle especially with you you said everywhere was huge rocks like maybe and big rock you dont see nails that aluminum and cracks it. but then again i dont know how strong they made these aluminum frames?
