05.Banshee.SE Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I thought I'd throw this out there... I took my stock airbox off a few weeks ago, and I didn Quote
'04limited Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) i kinda did the same thing... but instead of all that i took the box off and chopped the back of the box off where the res. mounts and just put the res. back in the same location and rerouted lines. so it still mounts in the stock location. i've had mine like that for 2 years now. That's what I shoulda done...but after I cut it, I was like shitttt lol. I remember a lot of people were telling me "You need to buy this bracket" and things like that, so I figured I'd throw this out there. You've had yours like that for 2 years, and I've had mine like this for a while...and I haven't had any problems, and it looks pretty nice. Quote

'04limited Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 i dont have one dont need it neither of us stated that you "need" this we were just giving those who want to keep their res. another way to keep it instead of buying a bracket. Quote

Yep. I ran mine w/o it for a while...and all it did was make me nervous. Especially since I was trying to shake an overheating problem, which I finally did. I know I won't check my fluid as often as I should, so I'm trying to cover my ass at least a little bit by leaving it on. Quote
