Fireroad Express Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 i got an old digitron egt unit that i plan to install on the shee. how far from the cylinders are the probes supposed to be mounted? some people say 8 inches from the piston? is this correct? anyone else run these on thier bike? Snopczynski Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 The exhaust port tunnel is 2.5" long, then you have pipe flanges. How did you get it at 3" with the springs and hanger tangs on the pipe? Quote
Fireroad Express Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 i had em mounted 6" away from the piston on my sled motor, but i wasn't sure if the distance was applicable to two stroke bike engines. i just figured differences in displacement and pipe diameter may make a difference in where the probes were positioned. 530grafix Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 sorry my bad! I miked the distance and it is actually 3.77 inches.... :geek: and the are drilled on the inside of the pipe pointing outward so that the springs and tabs are not in the way....if that makes any sense Quote
