#1banshee Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 O.k I got a 1993 banshee that i got a while ago with alot of mod's. Now I had it sit & what not and the idle was low so I was looking. I took off the seat and was looking there are screw's ontop of the cards where wires go in... I thought I could turn them to raise the idle nope didnt make any diff...Now I had it running and my friend the right side was running cold to the left side was warm...It ran for a min I could touch the pipes on the right side and the left side i couldnt even touch b/c they were hot...It was never like this till i think I messed with them screws... And i think it might be getting too much fuel b/c sumtime's it has a " lag " when I wanna take off... i dunno but im stumpped about this right side running cold... Plz anyhelp would be greatful.! Paddleboy Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 your talking about the TORS right? that is how you adjust the idle on the carbs but to adjust the sync you need to loosen the 2 nuts where that actual cable goes through Quote
xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I think your talking about the tors. its the crap on top of your carbs. you should get a tors delete kit and get that crap off your ride. thats what i would do. i never dealt with them but all i hear is that they cause problems. save yourself a headache and buy the kit. It's where the cables go into the top of the carb and on the other side this is like a flat head lookin screw u can turn...We tryed playing with them but no luck in idle change...But now the right side is running cold. I have toomey t5's and i can act hold that pipe while its running and on the left side i couldnt even touch it... b4 that it ran fukin nice till i started to play with them screws... I'll take pics tomorrow if u guys need them.. Edited September 29, 2008 by #1banshee Quote

Paddleboy Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 take off your air box or whatever filters you are useing and visually check your carbs to see how bad out of sync they are. if they are out real bad then that can make one side not run as good as the other. Quote

BlntdEyez Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 My bad that is how you sync them with the sync tool. Here is how you manually sync them. Quote

Why is there a wire running to the carbs with them screws? Quote
Paddleboy Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 just like poorboy said hey who the hell are you calling poor? haha as for the TORS it basicly just cuts the engine if your throdle happens to stick wot. that is what the wires are for also Quote
boneyardbanshee. Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 did you check for spark on the right side? it could still run on one cylinder and could cause your lag. I had a friend who rode for about 15 min before he really noticed (till he tried climing a hill and had no power to get up it). His plug cap had seperated from the wire (from him yanking on them).
