so scientists are liars now too? have you ever met a scientist? politicians do "bend truths" pleanty, its the name of the game, but scientists tend to be of a more pure group in that sence. and yes, im a well-rounded person, which i think is a good thing, you seem to be insinuating that its a bad thing.

NASA is always anxious and interested in finding water because water is a life-sustaining element. where theres water, or was water there could be, or could have been life.

i dont know the exact statistic, but the wealtiest 1% pay somethin like 90% of the income taxes. if you make $70,000 a year, its really only about $40,000 after taxes. i think its hilarious that the "poor" complain the most and pay the least.

you ever think that we have "more" instances of certain ailments (excluding obesity) because of advancements in detection and diagnosis? yea, when you come down with cancer or some other horrible thing, i wanna see you turn away from doctors and nurses and go to your voodoo "doctors"

uhh broke, where are you living? a medical degree is useless?? they do a hell of a lot more than fix broken bones and replace hearts. you need to stop talking out of your ass. doctors and nurses save lives every day, what have you done to contribute to society lately? my mom is a hero. she came from almost nothing, worked her way through college, paid her own way, gained her own debts, worked her ass off to be where she is. she could be another board member and another department head sitting in meetings all day, but she still chooses to do patient care a couple shifts a week on top of all that because she cares so much about what she does, and why she entered the field to begin with. she saves lives, and she is surrounded by other nurses/doctors/CNAs who are everyday heros, and good good people. and hey man, i have to say, i have just as much respect for joe schmoe who gets up everyday to work at mcdonalds and provide for himself or his family, good work ethic, doin whats gotta be done to get by. work hard in life, appreciate what you have, appreciate that youre healthy and able to get up every day and go out there to work. some people would die to be able to do just that.

i just have a couple things to say. first, universal healthcare, like what canada has, is a HUGE problem. they dont have the money needed for equipment in their hospitals, hence the looong wait list. you know you can wait for like six months up there before getting treated for something like a broken arm?! they are suffering, and i live in maine, which borders canada, and ill tell you right now, canadians are jumping border for healthcare just as fast if not faster than our elderly are jumping border for perscriptions. if you dont have insurance you can still get treatment, hospitals have the most forgiving payment plans around. if all you can pay is $6 a month, theyll allow it. and they forgive an unbelievable amount of debts when people cant afford care, my mom is a hospital big wig she sees it all the time. and since people can sue doctors for anything, now they cant afford malpractice insurance so thats why your costs are going sky high. and on the whole outsourcing thing. big companies are sending their low skilled, low paying jobs overseas so that they can afford to create and hire high skilled workers for higher pay. so, get an education, thats what college loans are for, pay $20 a month for the rest of your life on your loan, it will be worth it. if college isnt your thing, learn a skill or trade, start a business, anyone can become successful here, thats what makes this country great.

news flash, most universities and colleges are very liberal, your professors have agendas too. that was one big shock to me when i was in college.

Stan lemme tell ya, i am seriously into politics and this shit is killing me. im like, losing it here. the sad thing is, i dont think most people realize how liberal the media is. the news isnt supposed to be full of any political agendas, be it liberal or conservative. people look to the news for facts, and im afraid its dangerous for the media to pretend they have no agenda in their reporting. i mean, if you wanna have an agenda, or if you wanna lean a certain way, fine just let it be known that you have a biased opinion. when people come to me with questions about politics or any other info they dont know much about, if i am biased i always make sure to tell them that. "well, keep in mind, i am biased and i hate bleeding heart liberals, but as far as im concerned the 9/11 commission is a joke" lol

if you absolutely need to go pc, go with dell, great comp for great price, and unbeatable tech support. unless youre a computer pro, youre gonna want good tech support and if you build your own, you get none of that. if you dont want the hassel of defragging and viruses, go with mac, they are the best and most user-friendly. i would never go back to a pc, but if i had to it would be to a dell or alienware. but alien ware is really only for those serious computer people who might actually need/use all that force.
