  1. I know I know another gearing post but I’m at wits end

     

    421 cub ported

    35mm pwk carbs

    172 main 52 pilot needle at 2nd clip

    One turn out on the air screw

    Gear ratio is 14/44

    +8 swinger

    22” 9 paddle at 5psi

    And I’m 245-255lbs

     

    I can’t launch in second for shit I tried 14/43 and idk if it’s just my body weight and gearing set up or my jetting at this point… any help would be appreciated.

    This is my second go around with my cub motor. I had a really bad experience with a builder and he won’t return my calls or anything. So I’m really not sure and it’s hard getting someone to give me the right information to help now that I’m trying to do this alone lol

     

    Anyways, I plan on running +4 or +7 timing on 19cc domes 4mil, cheetah cub, 573 piston, chariot cool head, base gasket .018 I usually run VP C12.

     

    This time around I was thinking of trying to go pump VP100 because it’s local. What domes would I run? Is there a power loss? What would I have to do to get there? I’m just curious.

     

    I’m getting my cylinders back from Millennium soon and would just like to know as much info as I possibly can when putting this motor back together. My checklist is port timings, squish, leak down and compression. Is there something I’m missing?

  4. Over the weekend I busted my top end and just wondering if I should have it re-nik’d or a hone would do the job? If so, where could I send them I’m local to Los Angeles and was hoping to get it back running in time for thanksgiving.  I think I had an air leak and caused it to run lean… some insight would be dope.
