I suspected my stator was falling pulled the flywheel off and found an aftermarket stator. I just received a brand new OEM stator and I'm going to float it, reinstall and install a JL dc conversion kit. John Long said that should ship by the end of the week. I bought new OEM brakes front and rear and have a new DID gold o-ring chain ready to go on. The chain seems really stiff though I hope it loosens up.
Oh that's good to hear. I hope everything went well.

I was not aware of this issue.

I'd rather keep polishing it than spray bomb it
You have a point. Lol.

Just run a hose from the cap and angle it down like stock. The tiny breather has a ball to act as a check valve and as oil and dirt mix in the check valve area, it gets plugged. This creates a vacuum in the tank leading to your carburetor bowls running dry, leading to a stuck piston.
It's happened enough that it is ingrained into everyone to point out how bad those are.
Hope everything's working perfectly by now. Your Banshee looks great!

Got my Stator from 4wheelonline. It was around $200 with free shipping.

What's the best way to get rid of the oxidation and bring the shine back on a polished stator cover? Not sure if I should buy a harbor freight polishing kit, or something like mother's mag & aluminum polish?
I tried to attach a pic but it says the file is too big.
Have you managed to remove the oxidation by now?

Other than a handguard and a winch, what atv accessories should I have on my 2006 Yamaha Banshee? Any suggestions?

Nope. Shot stands out like a sore thumb. Haha. But the heat gun worked on the rest of it. Didn’t fully take the stress marks out but lightened them significantly. But where I went over with the torch, yeah that part looks like dog shit.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThis why I'm terrified to do repairs. Lol. I have no talent for such things.

This is hilarious!

Heat gun won’t but a torch will definitely make short work of the plastics. Haha. Guess how quickly I went out and bought a heat gun and told myself “nobody will notice”.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkLol. Hope it went well for you.

Found a set. I went to a buddy of mines uncles house to go on a bike run and I saw an old warrior behind the garage looked like it had been there for a while and it had gold rims on it. I asked about them he told me he’d sell the whole bike for $200 not running. So I bought it. Listed it for sale with no rims on the way home for $150 and sold it before I even got home. Told the guy to bring a 14mm socket. He even took the rims off for me lol
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkOh that looks great!

What shocks did you end up getting?
-
You can always spray the rims with clear coat paint like Rust-Oleum.
-
Never tried it. Too scared to destroy the plastics.

That's a very intimidating company truck. Lol.

I'd like to buy a new set of atv mud tires and wheels for my 2006 Yamaha Banshee. Any recommendations?

They only have the orange plastics on eBay.
-
Not bad at all.

Anybody here familiar with the Warn ATV Winch? I am planning to buy one for my 2006 Yamaha Banshee.

They were factory on MANY Yamahas and Hondas. Probably before you were born then.
Oh I see.

Never seen gold rims on an ATV.
